DHU Formula
DHU stands for Defects per Hundred Units. It measures the number of defect occurrences found per 100 inspected garments.
Suppose a quality inspector checks 300 garments and finds the following defects:
- Broken Stitch = 15
- Skip Stitch = 10
- Open Seam = 5
Total Defects = 15 + 10 + 5 = 30
DHU = (30 / 300) × 100
DHU = 10.00
How to Use the DHU Calculator
- Enter the total number of inspected garments.
- Enter the target DHU if you want to compare the result.
- Add each defect type and its quantity.
- Click Calculate DHU to view the result.
- Copy or print the calculation report if required.
Important Note
DHU counts defect occurrences, not defective garments. If one garment has three different defects, all three defect occurrences are counted in the total number of defects. The inspected garment quantity is counted only once.
